What makes me ‘me’ includes the understanding that life is fluid and my own journey may not always align perfectly with my initial visions. I recognize that it’s okay if the picture I paint evolves, if the story takes unexpected turns, and if the person I become differs from my earlier aspirations. This acceptance of uncertainty and the willingness to adapt are integral to who I am.
“ It is fine to be the me I become “.

To answer your question, what makes me, me is: my past experiences of grief butting up against my innate qualities of curiosity and creativity, peppered with a little restlessness and compelled by a need to be agentic and authentic. Mush all of that together and what you get left over is me.

Oh my. Unsure what makes me, me. The older I get the more mysterious it is. God might answer in the final analysis but in between birth and death there is biology, gender, inherited traits, history geography environment ecology, culture religion etc etc. my environment and culture bias me to see through a religious/spiritual lens nowadays including soul.

As for your question… straight off the bat, I’d have to say Art, in my case, writing/poetry. It brings the essence of me out onto the 3D page… it’s like Magic.

I have absolutely no idea how to answer, but I’ll try… I just drift around observing what’s around me and sometimes find joy or opportunity or interesting people by chance and get drawn in. That’s more ‘what I do’ than ‘who I am’, but maybe I am what I do…

I was born with 3 gifts: a very good body that still serves me beautifully at age 85; I was born with conscious contact with a Higher Power; I knew from my earliest memories – before I went to school, that I was/am an artist. But when I was a pre-schooler, I also thought I was/am a priest. My Irish Catholic family would correct me, saying: “Oh, don’t you mean a ‘nun’? I would insist: ‘NO! A priest! I AM an artist, and I AM in constant contact either with higher powers, and I am a PhD Social Psychologist! It was not until I was doing research on cave paintings and shamanism did I realize that I was born to both the traditions of shamanism and the traditions of women warriors while writing my dissertation in Japan. I was given those gifts at birth because the rest of my life was going to be terribly hard and painful.

Hard to state this as always been one of Ten children, am a twin who share birthday with sister and older brother, became girlfriend, mother, wife and grandmother. Work as special needs teaching assistant and try to free lance as mixed media artist. I volunteer for numerous things, been doing creative kindness over 12 years, community focused. Along the way a new me has emerged but still lacks that confidence in performance art of hidden but talented singer and artist.

Ego centrically attached to this ‘Duality’ defined body and story Moich ( Martin) Abrahams.
Philosophically, intuitively, logically the ‘Non Dual’ imperative is I am Love, there is nothing else, Every thing else, including all attempts to define What I am or Who I am is nonsense.
PS ‘Love’ used here is an adjective to point at an assumed characteristic of that Unicity , the UNDIVIDED Oneness, the All that there is, which could be said to ‘take care of itself’, adopted and extrapolated from the human term for the highest value of ‘Taking Care’ within eg a human family, to be a descriptor, or name even, of that One, that ‘I Am’ , yet used here, in a way impossible to grasp by a human mind. Not simply love as understood in human terms. Yet, I Am Love, I Am That.

I started creating art for myself when I was sixty three and got divorced after a very long marriage. My first collection was The Art of Divorce, capturing not the stories but the emotional journey. I had my first solo exhibit within 6 months and it’s been a remarkable journey. I was a TV Producer in the Broadcast and cable businesses.

I’d describe myself as being: Happy, positive & smiling. I love dogs, summer hillwalking and being creative. But in the background there’s a lot of self doubt, anxiety and lack of confidence. That’s me! Oh and the beach, walks on the beach are good for the soul.

What makes me is the understanding that reality is infinite and ever expanding in all dimensions. Be that knowing people’s feelings, details of a market, effect of one’s actions on change, questions on why we are here, how we are here, what’s on the internet (!)etc. And that as a person, no matter how clever, experienced or gifted our knowledge of all such aspects measures no more than a school ruler or at best a surveyor’s measuring staff.
What makes me me is trying to extend that measure but more importantly, learning to be comfortable with not knowing beyond that measure. The former is obvious but mastering the latter is a lifetime’s work and in its mastery lies the antidote to hubris and arrogance. I still have a long way to go!

Thank you for the question, that connects me to you, as by asking it, you have become part of me. All that is in me is now, is flowing in your direction, all that has been in me, is in this moment connecting me to you, as has connected me to others, with mycelium like strands, all beings all things, through time past, present, future, the liquid and the gas.
Whoops I would have continued the waffle but my finger slipped and what was sent, was sent and so perhaps that was meant to be, as I could waffle on for an eternity, as I am part of that matrix, that web of all things and I am just a speck that tries to accept my own insignificance, but my significance too, as part of the multiverse, that is huge and what makes me me is that trying to see through and having the patience is part of it too.👁🥰
