sees the world as make-believe
flies to foreign lands and is present while her body sleeps
speaks to the soul of trees
listens to the sea whispers
knows the future and steps there
understands deeply
dances to circle drumbeats with bare feet in night rhythms
connects with all beings
lives another’s story
is all stories
touches ancient earth
messages animals
voices primal music
has no boundaries in stellar spheres
knows the beginning spark of life
walks in death distributing the ashes

Me. That’s what makes me me. And I am not trying to be flippant. There are plenty of people with the same name, but no one else is occupying the exact same space at the same time as me. I am a compendium of my experiences and DNA, and am – like everyone – absolutely unique. I am a jumble of contradictions and happily so. That is what makes me me.

I like poetry and the arts, you are so different, I have had several poems published but haven’t written any for ages, sometimes you just lose the inclination, I don’t know if that makes sense.

The truth is I am not sure what makes me, Me. I am a bit of an aestheticist, I really like harmony. If you believe that there is any truth in astrology maybe you won’t be surprised to hear that I am a Libra? When it comes to art I love to study non figurative work. Correction, I love art. In all it’s forms, as an expression of what it is to be human, and as a window into the mind.

My friends made me who I am today and they’ve done a lousy job
Remember! It took billions and billions of years to create you make sure it was worth the trouble. I have had an incredible life I could die today and be happy person. I am dyslexic and I never went to high school not even for one day.

My thought process and actions make me who I am. I am constantly developing myself especially using the creative process to move me forward in life. My life experiences are the focus of my art work. Themes I like are fragility, perceived vulnerability, the inner and outer, concealment and revealed. The notion of self.

My mind for one. And it needs endless input from the world around me. I watch life more than part taking in it. It was always thus. I am a loner by choice. Yet again I have a tiny group of friends I can trust with my life. As they can trust me. I’m lucky.

I am a ball of energy, that bounces from high to lows but bounces none the less. I love to make people smile, even when I don’t feel like smiling myself. I am a sparkly warm person that has the shoulders of any giant but still delicate to offend. What makes me who I am is who I love and what I create. Hopefully sunshine. I am me and always will be.

A small list from the many things. The last dish I cooked; I’m only as good as that (this takes some getting used to). The small walk I take the dog on; he’s too old by far to walk further than around the block. Pointed brothel creepers. An easy, almost existential, distraction from my surroundings which irritates some. The friends I make on trains after Euston is shut who get off at Market Harborough.
